On foot to the falls you will pass Manitoulin's only pulp mill, an electricity plant, some fine examples of the Island's early limestone buildings; then approach Bridal Veil Falls as it cascades into the river and winds its way to the bay.

View century-old architecture-- here, St. John the Evangelist's Anglican Church, or "The Sailor's Church" as it is called, was built nearly 120 years ago.
