| George Becks bought Hope Farm in 1903 from the King family and the Residence was built in 1904. In 1910 Dr. R.W. Davis used the back part of the residence as an office, dispensary and operating room until the first Mindemoya Hospital was built on a corner piece of the farm. Roy Becks inherited the farm on his father's death and in 1939 the farm was sold to A.J.Wagg, who in turn sold the farm to Charles Love. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| In 1980 the residents were very mobile and had no problems making their way up and down the many stairs. During the course of the last twenty plus years, numerous individuals have lived in Hope Farm Residence and have learned the skills to move on into more independent living accommodation. Today however, the residents living in this home have complex medical needs, are elderly and have mobility problems. This home no longer meets the physical needs of the individuals living there; they need a home specifically designed with their needs in mind. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Our vision is to construct the home shown below to be located nearer to the highway in the South Eastern corner of the property. This new home will be designed, not only with the needs of our current residents in mind, but it will also position our agency to be able to address the needs of any future residents who come to live with us. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
