Salmon Fishing is a speciality in Providence Bay. You can enjoy the thrill of landing a 30-40 lb Chinook Salmon, a hard fighting Steelhead or Coho from the crystal clear waters of Lake Huron. Providence Bay Fair each year attracts thousands of visitors to the area. The parade snakes through the town to the delight of the gathering crowds.The Fair is held on the third weekend of August each year. Providence Bay also boasts fantastic cross country skiing and snowmobiling in the winter. Another plus: it's only 25 minutes from the ferry at South Baymouth. |
