Touring Manitoulin on bicycles in a relaxed and safe manner

THE LAKESHORE ROUTE - 39 kms
Follow Hwy 6 north 3 km to Lakeshore Road. Turn right and after crossing two bridges on that gravel road, turn left at the first stop sign. Continue straight until your rejoin the pavement of Hwy. 6.

THE FISH HATCHERY ROUTE - 39 kms
Take Hwy. 6 north l13 km to the junction of Hwy. 542. Turn left onto 542. One kilometre ahead of you on your right is the Blue Jay fish culture station just before the junction of 542A. Continue another 7 km on 542 to the village of Sanfield. Visit the trout rearing ponds and dam there. Return to the junction of 542A and take it into the village of Tehkummah. Stay on the pavement past the general store to the tenth side road which takes you 6 km back to Hwy.6.

THE PAVED ROUTE - 27 kms
Go north 6 km to the junction of the tenth side road. Turn left onto it and follow it into the village of Tehkummah and its famed general store. Proceed further through the village past the Municipal Centre on the 542A km to where it meets 542. Turn right. Another 1 km will put you on Hwy. 6 and a right turn at that junction will return you to South Baymouth.

THE RIVER ROUTE - 46 kms
Proceed north 5 km and turn left onto the tenth side road. Follow the pavement another 6 km to the edge of the village of Tehkummah where you will turn left onto the government road. Riding another 6 km will bring you to the Manitou bridge just past which you will turn left onto the road taking you to Michael's Bay and the park. Reversing your steps will bring you back to your starting point.
